Could I Be Your Girl Tutorial

This tag was created using PSP 7.

Supplies Needed :

- Tube of choice. I am using the awesome artwork of Mr Keith Garvey.

- Template and wordart in the post below

- Font used- 2 Peas mister Giggles.This is a PTU font.

- Scrapkit optional. I used Missy's scrapkit Sweet_Valentine

Lets Get Started :)

{1}

Open my template.

Delete the copyright layer.

Highlight the 'LgHeart' layer

Select all - float & defloat {KeepSelected}

Copy & paste the close up garv tube as a new layer.

Place where desired on the left side of the selected heart.

Selections-invert & delete.Select none.

Duplicate this layer.

On the duplicate layer effects - blur-gaussian blur of 3

Colorize - hue & saturation 0

Change the blend mode to soft light.

On the original close up layer lower the opacity to 57

Highlight the 'HeartClusters' layer of the template.

Using your magic wand select the top pink heart on the left side cluster.{keep selected}

Place the regular size garv tube as a new layer {place where desired over the selected heart}

Selections - invert & delete. Select none. Lower the opacity to 37.

-Repeat step 2 for the 2nd and 3rd heart on the cluster.

Now duplicate tube part 1,2 and 3 {that you just placed in the 3 hearts}

Image mirror.They should fall directly on the top of the opposite cluster.

Highlight the 'HeartCluster' layer again.

Effects - texture effects - Blinds

width = 3 opacity = 50 Color white.

Open my wordart. Resize to liking

Add a drop shadow of 2,2,40,5 Black

Place the wordart where desired. I placed mine at the right of the tag

Place the ? wordart pc as a new layer and rotate right 15

sharpen and plave on the small right glitter heart.

Add your name. I used color # C8507D

Add a desired gradient glow and drop shadow.

Place on the left side of the tag.

Copy & paste the garv tube that also has a box of chocolates on it as a new layer.

Add desired drop shadow and place at the left side of the LGHeart

{7}

You can now decorate your tag with some scrap pcs.

Place where desired and add a drop shadow.

You can look at my tag for reference.

All you got to do now is add your copyright info,crop/resize and save

Sorry its been a lil while since I last posted
I ran into some computer trouble - Namely - Malware Defender 2009 !!!!!!!!
Don't ever get or install that :( Bogus!!!!
I'm just about finished fixing my computer now but I want to burn all my stuff to CD's

New Tutorial - Spring Has Sprung

Supplies Needed :

Tube of choice - I am using the awesome artwork of Elias Chatzoudis.

You can purchase his art HERE

I am using a fab PTU scrapkit by Laura(CinnamonScraps)

called 'Fresh' which you can purchase HERE

Template 67 by the talented Yvette HERE

Mask and Font of choice - I used AnnabelleJF TTF

Lets get started :0)

Open a new canvas 693*704.

Paste paper 14 as a new layer and apply a mask of choice. Lower the opacity to 90.

Open butterfly 4 from the kit. Effects - Muras meister - copies with the following settings :

5,50,50,0,0,0,100,0,100,0,0,30,0. Lower the opacity of this layer to 16.

Paste doodle 2 as a new layer and place at the top of the tag. Duplicate and mirror and place the 2nd doodle at the bottom of the tag. (Look at my tag for reference)

Merge all layers visable.

Now onto the template. Delete the copyright layer and the flower & butterfly layers.

Increase canvas size to 693 * 704.

Highlight circle 1 - select all - float & defloat. Paste paper 12 as a new layer.Selections - invert & delete. Select none. Do the same for the 3 ramaining circles. I used a different paper from the kit for each circle. ( circle2 - paper 10, circle 3 - paper 14, circle 4 - paper 9.

Highlight frame 1 - Select all - float & defloat - paste paper 8 as a new layer. Selections invert & delete. Selct none. Do the same for frame 2,3 and 4. (I used the same paper for each frame.

Highlight the square background. Select all - float & defloat - paste paper 1 as a new layer. Selections - invert & delete. Do the same for square background 2,3 and 4.

Copy and paste the merged layer that you created in the first step of the tut and place as a new layer. Move this layer to the bottom of the palette.

Copy & paste ribbon wrap 1 as a new layer. Place at the bottom of the square frames.

Paste your tube next. I used one that was laying down. Place on the top of the ribbon wrap.

(Look at my tag for reference)

Duplicate the ribbon wrap layer and move above the tube layer. Erase parts of the wrap so it looks like she is laying on it. Look at my tag for reference.

Highlight the wordart layer. I left it as it was. Just add a drop shadow.

Open the beadstring - resize to liking. Place at the right side of the tube. Duplicate and mirror.

Add bow 4 and place at the top of the beadstrings. Now you can add some more elements to dress up the tag. I added some butterflies and a ladybug from the kit.

Add your name and proper copyright info. Crop and save.

I used a beautiful PTU kit by Clarey called 'LuckyCharm' which you can purchase HERE

'HappySt.PatricksDay' Circle Text by me HERE

Lets get started :0)

Open up all supplies in psp.

Create a new black canvas 675 * 705

Copy & paste the 'LuckyCharm' circle frame as a new layer.

Select inside the frame...modify - expand by 6 now paste paper 11 or a paper of choice as a new layer. Selections - invert and delete. Select none. Move this paper layer below the frame.

Paste the circle text as a new layer. Place around the frame.

Copy & paste swirl2 as new layer.Place at the left side of the frame. Duplicate the swirl. Image mirror and image flip. Place at the right side of the frame.

(You can look at my tag for reference)

Open a shamrock from the kit. I used shamrock 1. Resize by 30.

Effects - muras meister - copies with the following settings :

Center on top of the frame.

Add your tube.

Effects - xero - radiance with the following settings :

strangness - 128

charm - 50

truth - 128

beauty - 255

Add a drop shadow.

Add text and proper copyright info.

Crop & Save

New Tutorial - Cowgirl Wanted !

Scrapkit of choice - I am using a fabby kit by the talented Seachell called ' Wild Wild West ' which you can purchase HERE. Thanks so much hun :)

Mask of choice.

Lets get started :0)

Open paper 16 from the kit.Mask - new from image - apply a mask of choice.

Create a new black canvas 727 * 692

Copy & paste the mask as a new layer.

Copy & paste element 8 (Wanted scroll) as a new layer.I then added the bonus closeup tube as a new layer on top of the scroll.Erase the bottom part of the tube that may be down on the bottom roll of the scroll.

Now add element 74 (Flower) Duplicate 5 times and place down the right side and the bottom of the scroll.Add element 15 (hay looking grass) Duplicate 2 times and place the 3 across the canvas. Move the flower layers and element 15 layer down below the scroll.

Add your main tube as a new layer. I placed it on the left side of the scroll. Add a drop shadow. Add element 15 again. This time place it directly on top of the main tube. Erase parts of this element that covers the face and top part of the tube.Copy & paste element 41 (wheel) as a new layer. Resize if you wish. Place at the bottom of the main tube. Now copy & paste element 24 (horse)Resize and place at the bottom of the main tube on top of the wheel. You can look at my tag for reference.

Add element 30 as a new layer on the top right hand corner of the scroll. Add a drop shadow.

Add your name and place at the bottom of the scroll.

I also added the cowgirl text as a new layer. Resize and place above your name.Add a drop shadow. Merge all layer visable. Then colorize - greyscale.

All is left to do is add the proper copyright info,crop & save.

New Tutorial - Its Not Easy !!

Mask of choice

Font of choice - I used Angelina

Its Not Easy Frame by me HERE

Its Not Easy Text by me HERE

- Flower & Bow of choice - I used items from the fab kit called

' Vintage Love' by Krissy HERE

Open all your supplies in psp.

Create a new canvas 688 * 731

New rastal layer - Floodfill with the color CAB8C9.

Apply a mask of choice now.

Effects - penta.com - dot & cross with the following settings :

amount - 72

cross distance - 10

cross width - 2

Copy & paste the supplied frame as a new layer. Floodfill the inside of the frame black.

Copy & paste a tube of your choice as new layer. Layers - duplicate and mirror. Place the mirrored tube inside the frame. Erase any tube parts sticking outside the frame. Lower the opacity of the mirrored tube to 33.

Next I added the vinatge foilage2 as a new layer.Resize to liking and place at the left side of the frame. Add a drop shadow. Now add a bow of choice. I used wrap 3 from the kit.Resize. Place at the right side of the frame.

Now back to your main tube layer. Place the tube at the left of the frame. Add a desired drop shadow. Now you can erase any parts of the bow or foilage that stick out past the tube.

Add the 'Its Not Easy Being Me' text where desired. Resize if you wish. Add a drop shadow.

All there is left to do is add your name and proper copyright info.

Crop & save !

New Tut - Garv'sGirls

I used 5 Garv tubes.
-Font of choice. I used Miss Le Gatees

Lets Get Started :0)

Open up all supplies in psp.

Create a new canvas 750 * 650. (Resize later if desired)

Copy & paste the garvsgirls frame as a new layer.

Now grab your 4 tubes. I placed them how I thought they looked ok and merge all tube layers visable. Lower the opacity to 20. Erase any tube part that may be sticking out of the frame. Hide (X out) your merged tube layer for now

Open Yvette's wordart. Copy & paste the 'GIRLS' text onto your canvas as a new layer.
You can resize if you want it smaller like mine. Place on the bottom right hand corner of the frame. Hide this layer too..

Select the inside of the frame and selections modify-expand by 6 (keep selected)
New rastal layer - floodfill with a gradient of choice or you can use the one supplied.
Now you can unhide your merged and gradient layers. You can also add a drop shadow to the frame now.

Back to Yvette's wordart - highlight the GARVS words layer. Selections - select all - float and defloat - Now floodfill with a color of your choice or you can use the same gradient as we used earlier. Select none and add a slight drop shadow. Copy & paste this text to your working canvas. I placed these words on top of and on bottom of the tag.

Now grab your main tube and place it to the left of the tag. Add a drop shadow.

All is left to do is add your name and proper copyright info.

Lets Get Started :0)

Open your paper of choice. I used paper 8 from the 'LuckyCharm' kit.

Open your mask of choice.

Now on your paper canvas - mask - new from image - and pick out your mask.

OK. Mask - delete. Edit copy the mask

Open a new white canvas 722*716.

Paste the mask as a new layer.

Open the lucky charm frame freebie and add as a new layer. Image mirror.Rotate 90 left.

Add a drop shadow of choice. Duplicate the frame layer.

On the duplicate frame - image resize 40%.

Rotate 25 left. Place at the top left of the main (big) frame.

Duplicate the small frame again. This time place it at the bottom of the main frame.

Duplicate yet again - image mirror. Place in the centre of the left side of the main frame.

You can look at my tag for reference.

Hide all layer except for the 3 small frames. Merge the frame layers visable. Using your freehand tool ( point to point,feather -0) select all around the edges of the merged smaller frames. New rastal layer -floodfill color # 718A56. Select none.

Layers - arrange move down. here is where I used the GalawayGirl Garv tube.

Duplicate 3 times. Place different parts of the tube in each frame. Cut off any tube that is sticking outside the frames.

Next add the Garv Leprechaun tube as a new layer. Make sure its under the main tube layer.Place it how you want it and erase any tube that is sticking outsside the frame. Add a drop shadow of choice.

Now open my 'KissMe-I'mIrish' wordart. Delete the background and copyright layers.

Highlight the Kiss me text layer. Selections - select all - float & defloat (Keep selected)

Now copy a paper of choice ( I used paper 8 of the kit again)and paste as a new layer.

Selections - invert and delete. Select none.

Do the same for the I'm Irish layer.

Except floodfill with colior #BEB69B.

Layers - merge visable.

Select all - float and defloat-modify - expand by 3

New rastal layer - floodfill white. Select none. Add a drop shadow.

Copy your new text and place it on the bottom of the main frame.

All you have to do now is add your name and copyright info.

Merge all flatten crop and save !!

I hope you all are having a good Wednesday so far.
I have not made any posts for over a week now.
Been busy. My friend's Mom died and her fiuneral was Friday.
Then over the weekend my rad went in my car
Yesterday I went to school to pick up my autistic son and he went and fell over the stairs. He ended up driving his glasses into his head. Wasn't a nice scene.
Now that all this is over Im sure I'll be doing some tut posting this weekend

I used the fonts Hurricane Swash & Whiz Kid Regular)
Mask of Choice
Flowers of choice

A Dozi's clockface-04 Site right HERE

My Supplies HERE

Lets get started :0)

Open up a new canvas 654 * 620 (crop later)
Flood fill with white

Open up my grunge2 paper. Colorize - hue: 19 & saturation - 40

Go back to your new canvas. New rastal layer - floodfill with the colorized grunge paper

Mask - new from image - pick out your mask. (source luminance checked)
Lower the opacity of the mask layer to 36

Copy & paste A Dozi's_Clockface_04 as a new layer. Rotate 35 to the right
Change the blend mode of the clock face layer to overlay

Add your tube as a new layer.

Add a drop shadow of choice.place your tube on the left side of the canvas.

Copy & paste my rectangle template as a new layer & place at the bottom of your tag
Be sure to cover over the bottom of the tube a little.

Open up a flower tube of choice and place at each end of the rectangle template. Resize if necessary and change the blend mode again to overlay.

Add your name in a font of choice. I used Hurricane Swash.Foreground - null, background - white.Add a drop shadow of choice.

Add text 'Timeless Beauty' ( I used the font Whiz Kid Regular ) Foreground - null & background - 897C72 Add a drop shadow.

Add proper copyright info and your watermark
Resize 85 %. Sharpen & Crop to liking.Save !

Hi guys

I wasn't around this week till now because my oldest son Brad who is 12 was assaulted at school. He got kicked in the privates. Needless to say I was not happy. Last night I called the police to put a scare in the bully that did it to my son. You think kids are safe in school. Oh Geez !

Beautiful FTU Scrapkit By Missy " Sweet Valentine " HERE

Mask by Sabre -'SabeChristmasMask2Quill' HERE

Tube of choice:I used the awesome artwork of Elias Chatzoudis.
You can purchase a license to use his Artwork HERE

Template #31 by the talented Pooker HERE

Font Of Choice - I used Waterbrush

Lets get started :)

Open paper 4 and the mask. On your paper canvas - mask - new from image - pick out your mask from the drop down menu.Ok.Mask invert & delete. Leave this for now.
Open Pooker's template 31. Delete the ©info layer. Increase canvas size to 800 * 800. Floodfill the background layer white. Now edit copy the mask and paste as a new layer. Image resize 110%. Place in the center of the template.
Open bling 1 from the kit. Resize to liking. Duplicate & mirror. I placed one at the top right and one at the bottom left of the tag. (look at my tag for reference) Open feather 1 - Resize & place at the top right.
Highlight the stripes layer - selections - select all - float and defloat. Copy paper 4 as a new layer. Selections - modify - expand by 2. New rastal layer - floodfill white. Select none. Layers - arrange - move down. Add a drop shadow of choice.
Highlight rectangle 1 - selections - select all - float & defloat. Copy & paste paper 4 as a new layer. Selections - modify expand by 2. New rastal layer - floodfill white. Layers - arrange - move down. Select none. Repeat for rectangle 2.
Highlight shape 1 - select all - float & defloat (keep selected) Add paper 8 as a new layer. Selections - invert & delete. Select none. Add desired drop shadow. Repeat this step for shape 3.
Highlight shape 2 - Selections - select all - float & defloat ( keep selected) add paper 6 as a new layer. Selections - invert & delete. Select none. Add drop shadow. Repeat for shape 4.
Open ribbon bow 2 - resize to liking and place on top of the left rectangle.Open button 1 resize & place to the left of the tag. Add dropshadow.I now added the bow flower & then flower 2 on top. (see my tag for reference) Add a drop shadow. The same with the tags. Resize and place where desired. Next add the butterfly and the beaded string. Of course resize to liking and add desired drop shadow.
Now add your tube. Place in the center of the tag. Add a drop shadow. Now you can add your copyright info.
For the text - Open up a new canvas 500*500. Using a font of your choice type in your name. Selections - modify - expand by 4. New rastal layer - floodfill white. Layers - arrange - move down. Select none. Layers - merge visable. Add a drop shadow. Copy your new text and add it to your working canvas.
Merge all layers and save.

Supplies Needed:

PSP 7 (any version will work)

Scrap Kit of choice: I used this Awesome PTU kit"Blood Diary"By Bittersweet Designs HERE

Font of choice

Gradient,BrokenlineRectangle and text - Supplied HERE

Lets Get Started :0)

I left the mask layer as it was.

Open up the blood diary doodle#8. Resize as desired. Place at the right top of the tag. Layers diplicate. Image mirror. Place the 2nd doodle at the bottom left of the tag.(Look at my tag for reference) Add a drop shadow of choice.

Highlight circle 2 - selections select all, select float, defloat. Leave selected. New rastal layer -floodfill black.Select none.

Highlight rectangle 1 - selections - select all,float and defloat..keep selected

floodfill with the supplied gradient. Select none. Now repeat this step for rectangle 2.

Floodfill shape #1 and #2 with the same gradient.

Add the supplies brokenline rectangle on top of the rectangle. Layers duplicate and place on the 2nd rectangle. Now add the supplied text to the bottom left rectangle.

Select heartstrand 1 and floodfill with 680007. Leave heartstrand 2 black.

Back to the kit- open the blood diary bundled cella lilies #2 and place as a new l;ayer on your working canvas. Resize 30%. Place at the right side of the tag. I placed 3 lillies. Open bow #9 resize and place at the bottom strands of the lilies. ( look at my tag for reference)

Add desired drop shadow.

Now add your tube. Effects - Zero - radiance with these settings :

strangeness - 128

charm - 50

truth - 128

beauty - 255

Again add a drop shadow of choice.

Add your name and your copyright information.

Merge all layers and save

Lets Get Started :0)

Image - canvas size 605 * 678

Floodfill the background layer white.

Highlight the mask layer of the template.

Select all - select float and defloat ( keep selected )

Open up your scrap kit and copy and paste a paper of choice and

add it to the template canvas as a new layer. Selections - invert and delete.

Select none.

Open up the sweethearts berries with bow and add as a new layer.

Resize the berries 50 %.

Effects - Mura Meister - copies with the following settings

Erase the berries that are sticking out on the bottom and lower the opacity to 15.

((#4)) Highlight the circle layer. Select all - selection float - selection defloat (Keep selected)

Go back to your scrap kit and pick out another paper. Now back to your working image - paste as a new layer. Selections - invert and delete. Select none. Add a drop shadow of choice.

A few of the next steps we will be repeating step 4 just using different layers :)

Highlight square 1 - now repeat step 4

hightlight square 2 - step #4 , highlight square 3 - step #4

* I used the same paper for square 1 & 3 *

Highlight strip 1 and repeat step #4 and then the same for strip 2

Highlight flower 1 select all and float defloat then floodfill white

Now highlight flower 2 and repeat step #4.

Back to the kit - open up the sweethearts day - parchment tube and paste as a new layer. Resize 85% and place at the bottom right side of the tag. (See mine for reference) Add desired dropshadow.

Open up a flower of choice - I used flower 1 from the kit. Place in the centre of the other flowers. Add drop shadow.

Add your tube and resize as desired. Add drop shadow of choice.

My dropshadow - Eye candy 4000 - Shadowlab with the following settings

Highlight the love text. Select all Selections float - modify - expand by 4 (keep selected)
Pick a new paper and paste as a new layer. Selections - invert and delete. Select none. Now on the paper layer select all float and modify - expand by 2 and floodfill white. Select none. Add desired drop shadow. Add your name.

Add your copyright information. Merge all layers and save

I'm Back

I know its been a while for me posting here and I do apologize for that.

With Christmas,real life and driving the kids to school 3 times a day I just kinda lost interest in the computer.

But with that said I'm back. I'm going to go about a different approach with my blog. There are tons of scrappers out there who are far better then me so I will leave the scraps to them :0)

I am back with a preview of a new tut I wrote today. I will have the tut posted after I get the kids home and settled from school
